“This hasn’t been anything short of a stunning accomplishment.” Christo says. Being a software engineer from an institution of repute, a professional with 15 years of IT industry experience working for a top IT firm, health wasn’t among topmost of priorities for him – he took things for granted for a long time, when it came to health.
“I remember I was always called a ‘fat guy’; you know, sort of colloquial nicknames you begin being bestowed upon lovingly by fellow students; of course I was fat – I weighed 90 kgs when I joined my engineering institution 19 years back,” recalls Christo.

“I did work on reducing my weight many times, practically starving myself and I remember getting it down to 72 kgs, however once I got back to normal routine the weight returned with lightning speed,” mentions Christo. “I am thankful that my weight never hit a century .” He adds.
During a recent trip he had a fall during skiing; post ACL reconstruction surgery doctors recommended him to lose weight for faster recovery. For each kg of body weight loss, there was supposedly a 4 kg reduction in knee joint stress. Getting rid of the extra pounds had become a necessity.
